The Twin Ports "WE ARE" Youth Poetry Slam Preliminary was designed to present youths ages 13 - 19 a shot at having an outstanding experience representing the state of Minnesota at the annual Brave New Voices event held in Chicago later this year. ARE itself is focused on encouraging youth voices, and defining the culture of spoken word poetry in the Twin Ports, and the event was an opportunity for youth to go before a panel of professionals and the community at large to share their voices!
