Artist Jonathan Thunder has been working with the Art Department at the college of St. Scholastica and with AICHO to design a mural for our building in Lincoln Park (2301 W. Superior Street). This design will be 24ft wide x 8 ft tall once completed in May. Thunder and artist Paul LaJeunesse paid our Gimaajii Building a visit to invite residents and members of the community to add the first layer of paint to the mural panels. Sarah Brokke Erickson is also helping with the project. We had a lot of fun, check out the digital sketch below to get an idea of what the mural will look like when completed!
