AICHO had a site visit with Renee Goldtooth, member of the Navajo Nation and the Evaluation Specialist for the Notah Begay III (NB3) Foundation, in late July. It was a great meeting about the grant we received from them to lead a community food sovereignty initiative through expansion of our urban gardens and begin the development of social impact businesses that feature Indigenous foods! We are looking forward to continuing this good work. Miigwech to Marisa Ring, LeAnn Littlewolf and Katie Schmitz for helping to cater the lunch with Indigenous foods, teas and mint leaves in water, and the rest of the AICHO staff who helped get ready for today’s meeting.
