Time: 6 p.m. Location: Dr. Robert Powless Cultural Center Free & open to the public AICHO will host its annual Aadizookaan Winter Storytelling event with traditional Ojibwe creation stories told by Michael Migizi Sullivan, Ph.D. Stories will be told in Ojibwe and translated into English. Michael will tell stories of Wenabozho, a historical and spiritual icon of the Ojibwe and Anishinaabeg. The event is free and open to the public. While this is a public event, AICHO and the storytellers have requested attendees to refrain from recording the event due to the spirituality of the gathering. Michael comes from the Lac Courte Oreilles reservation in Northern Wisconsin. Sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Human Services Behavioral Health Division through the Waaseyaa Healing Grant and the McKnight Foundation. |
